London, UK (14 January 2018) – Photographer Eduardo Fujii of United States was Awarded 2nd Place Winner in Abstract for the winning entry Cascade at prestigious Monochrome Awards honouring Black & White Photography.
The 2017 Monochrome Awards received 8942 submissions from 87 countries around the world. Warden, David Johndrow and Stefano Brunesci.
Eduardo Fujii is a fine art photographer living on the Monterey Peninsula in California. He demonstrated great interest in the arts at an early age. Eduardo started music lessons at the age of five followed by painting a few years later. It wasn’t until late 2006, however, that he turned to photography as a form of artistic expression. Classical music and painting have been part of most of his life and have certainly contributed to the development of a lyrical sensibility that underlies his photography today. Eduardo likes to call himself an “artist with a camera.” Eduardo has been developing his own style through a process of self-discovery. He is very committed to photography as art and always leaves part of himself in each one of his images. He truly believes that every photograph is a self-portrait.
Eduardo has participated in gallery exhibitions at the Center for Fine Art Photography, Center for Photographic Art, Cherry Center for the Arts, and the Museum of Monterey. He was titled Black and White Spider Awards' Photographer of the Year in 2017, was published in B&W Magazine and Color Magazine, was the cover in Shadow & Light Magazine, and has received various awards from PX3 Prix de la Photographie, Monochrome Awards, Photographer's Forum Magazine, and the International Color Awards.
